Online Lessons
We started organising music Masterclasses in 2015, with growing success and more and more participants.
This great “live” feedback has encouraged us to create a permanent exchange between our teachers and you, the students, musicians and enthusiasts from all over the world, using the conference platforms available on the web. The advice and experience of our teachers is now also available online. This made possible to multiply the opportunities for meeting, to solve in real time any doubts or questions the students might have, and to inspire a truer and deeper style in their artistic expressions. Moreover, by following the lessons online, each of them has become a member of an international network of news, experiences, contacts, work opportunities and much more.
This section of Le Muse has particularly developed since spring 2020, faced with the impossibility of travelling and offering ‘in-person’ lessons.
So, first of all, we created online the second and third edition of “Librettiamo”.
In April and May 2020, we held 5 meetings dedicated to the metrical, linguistic, stylistic and aesthetic analysis of Don Giovanni by Da Ponte and Mozart, for a total of 18 hours of lessons.
Then, between November and December 2020, we held the most recent edition of “Librettiamo”, with a short course on dramaturgy and an in-depth analysis of some opera roles (Orfeo from L’Orfeo by Striggio jr. and Monteverdi, Susanna from Le Nozze di Figaro and Violetta from La Traviata), for a total of 36 hours of lessons.
In the period from May to December 2020, we held regular individual online lessons in singing and libretto and music analysis, for a total of 150 hours.
Since May, we have been running an online “Salotto musicale” to bring together great performers and scholars with our students and all music lovers. With two appointments a month until December, we held 12 meetings that attracted great interest and participation.
From November 2020 (and until March 2021) we organise an online “Salotto d’arte“, to illustrate the characteristics of some masterpieces of the extraordinary Italian painting production.
Our online Anatomy Courses for musicians are highly original (and extremely successful). The 6-month courses for singers have been running since September 2020, with 120 participants already. The first course for pianists started in January 2021 (20 participants) and those for wind instrumentalists will begin shortly.
Finally, from June 2020, we have launched online Italian language courses (in collaboration with the “Romit” language school in Rome). This will be an additional tool for singers who want to approach the Italian opera repertoire with greater awareness.
Similar language courses for German and French are being planned and will start soon.
Stay tuned with “Le Muse on line”!
